This Christmas we went to Changi Village Hotel and had a nice dinner at Swenson. Simply love the banana crumble.

A long and biz week

Sorry about not updating the blog.
Too biz these weeks...
Recently the 4E went for Adam Khoo Wksp and hope they are motivated enough to work hard for their 'O' levels although some students are still behaving the same.

There is so much we can do, ultimately it is up to themself to work hard.
Talk to 2 monkeys from 4/2 yesterday during CCA and I realise they had become more mature and hopefully my hours of talking would make a difference in the coming June holiday for them.

To my 1NA, I like to teach both classes so please do not ask me to compare between classes.
MYE results was not too bad but it can be better so work with Mr Lew to archieve better results during EOY. Some of you did not submit the Math file, please bring it on Monday.

Hope the sec 3s will do a good planning for the unit camp!
If need any advice, please look for the sec 4s :)

Next week is week 10
Will be meeting parents, hopefully it will be a pleasant meeting.
Got to go watch Shrek now!

A hectic week, so many things going on and last saturday I brought the sec 1 cadets to world red cross day.
They did not seem to enjoy themselves very much and told me those dance was childish haha, is our students more mature than others? I wonder...

Next week is the English and MT MYE, so please work hard for all the papers.
4E students, prelim 1 is coming very soon, please do not think you have the time to idle and wait.
'O' level is less than 5 months and counting.... you still think you have the time?

To my 1-7, please at least finish paper 1 of the 2008 paper so I can go through with you during remedial lesson. You should know what you will get from me if you dun...

Term 2 is finishing soon, so please work extremely hard and your june holiday will be sweet....

POP nice

Friday was the POP parade and can see the sec 4 cadets mature alot... hopefully now they will divert all the energy to their studies and get the best results.

The combined parade was good...

Had to deal with some students playing basketball and cause one of the window to break. hais....

To my cadets, I still had not receive all the consent forms!!!

Class 1-6 and 1-7 please remember to study for the test tml!!!!
I am hoping for all to pass so do not disappoint me!
Instead of playing facebook, you should go and try out all the practice question in the textbook.

My sec 4s will be stepping down this coming friday, hope they will realise that they need to work extra hard for the 'O' level... Still not seeing my sec 4s pushing themselves to the limit...

'O' level is less than 6 months and counting....
If you got 8 subjects to study, it is 22 days per subject.
If you add sec 3 and 4 topics together than it is about 2 days per topic.
I did not factor in your sleeping time, playing time, school time, eating time etc..
So do you think you have tons and tons of time left?
Unless you are a Math idiot or else you will be screaming and running to your books now.

Jianghao from 4-3 looked for me for consultation even though I did not teach him.
His attitude towards study is so so so focus, how I wish more ppl can be like him.
I will still coach him even if he is not my students cos he wants to learn... I provide consultation to my kids but only a handful make use of it...

Sometimes when you will only feel it when you lose it.....
One day I will reject all consultations....

Good Friday

Went to Orchard 313 today.... very very big and alot of shops!!
Potential paradise for all women!!
I hide myself in the Harris and read magazines instead...

Had  a lot of meals today.....
Fried rice, blueberry waffle, durian puffs, durian pancake, durian pudding, oyster mee sua... burp

Not a bad day except that when I was about to go for the movie, the lady told me the tickets booked is for tml!!! OMG.... first time this happen.

Tml will be going back school to clear some work
Anyone need help can drop by the school.

A little advice to all my students who took the trouble to visit my blog

Consultation for W2 is posted on the side column.

I will be having EE presentation with 1-1 on Monday therefore there will be no math remedial this monday.

This Wednesday will be the Energency Evacuation Dry Run!

Games day on Thurs and Good Friday on Friday...
This will be a short week.

April is here... Hope my 4E can sort out all their work and start working...

To the 4E and also my 1NA, please listen to what I want to say below.

1. You should identify the topics/subjects you are weak at.
2. Read through the textbooks on the weak topics.
3. Do the TYS on the topics you are weak at.
4. Re-do all the worksheets in the file.
5. Make sure you follow your study plan closely
6. No more long phone chat and msn.
7. Don't be stubborn and ask for help when you need to.
8. Don't think that you can find the teacher at the last minutes because that is what everyone is thinking and you definitely will not have a chance.
9. Don't think you have all the time in the whole world.
10. If you think there is too much you don't understand, what are you waiting for now?
11. Don't give yourself excuses such as "I don't like the teacher" "Teacher don't know how to teach" "No one to help me". Don't be a coward and learn to face the reality.
12. No one is going to pity you if you chose to hide in your turtle shell. In the end, you will be the one who will suffer.
13. Don't run away from a problem, learn to face it and solve it. It is never easy but this is how you learn and grow. (Esp the boys)
14. Be focus and disciplined.

Monday: Teacher Character Development Course (8am - 5pm), follow by class 1-7 BBQ at east coast.
Tuesday: 4-1 Chem lesson (12pm - 1.30pm), Practical (1.30pm), Class 1-7 consultation (2pm - 3pm)
Wednesday: Chem video making (1pm)
Thursday: Personal Time!
Friday: Course (8am - 5pm)

I guess there isnt much of a holiday for me.
Hope all my students will work hard during this term break.

Cool birthday in school.... My kids can be so adorable at times..

My first lesson was to look after the sec 3s.... All are boys... they all have long hairs...
Honestly sometimes I feel the NTs are a much better bunch... They respect teachers and behave when need to. Even if they are naughty, it will just be minor...

First lesson was my lovely 2-8!
I went in as usual and after they great me, they surprise me with a badae song...
I was touched hahaha... even if they are naughty at times, they still respect u as a teacher and listen to your instructions not like some classes...

Second lesson is 4-1!
It is a practical session and there were alot of breakages!!!
But it seems they are able to finish one carbonate.
Michael liar!!! Haha told me to go to the classroom cos Mrs Ang want me to be there BUT...
I am shocked to see the cake and thanks for all the effort, thanks x million...
The cake was nice and I wish 4-1 will do well in O level.
Happy birthday Elfin too....

Third lesson is 1-7!
I went in and again after greeting...  comes the birthday song haha..
All of them wrote something for me and I really like it...
I told the kids that even though they are 1-"7" but I will make sure this time the "7" will be the best class ever!
Don't give up and work together with me!

Last lesson was 1-6
Mr Jack taught them Math today, I just went in to observe.
But they pass me some cute gifts.

Lastly, my dear colleagues bought me a cake and celebrate the birthday with me.

Phew.... today was a very tiring day but I kinda enjoy it....

A very sad lesson and day.....

This is probably my longest post ever...
I start to doubt if I am a good teacher...
But I really want to be a good one...

Went in the 4-1.... I teach as usual.... Going through the common test scripts....
I re-teach every single topic from last year....
Every single question, I explain and make sure they understand....
After a total of 6 teaching hours, I hold on and go through each question...
Because... I want them to learn...

Thanks for the Chem files... only 3 gave me but I was very happy...
I just want to vent it out here.

This coming Tues is my birthday...
BUT... I am not celebrating because I will be conducting class committee training for the school until 6 pm.
Feeling very low low low low.....

Just pray for my Chem file!!!
Hope they remember to bring on Monday.
I want to be happy... in teaching... I want....

Detention day

Today conducted my first detention session with only................... 1 student :(
But it is a good thing thou haha...

Full of energy... but not during study...
My 4-1 had been complaining too much tests and work but...
that is what sec 4 life is.. endure for a few more months!!

My 2-8 went for their first ITE tour, hopefully they behave over there..
I have a good news.... one of my student score full marks for her common test.. :)

Finally... I have some time to blog..
Today after Kaixin took the test, I been thinking... what more can I do, what have I not done?
Been thinking about my 4-1, 1-6 and 1-7...

Gonna push the sec 1s so that they will get the habit of studying and doing homework.
I dun wan the same evil cycle to repeat again, i wan them to be the best NA.. :)

Please please please.... pray to whoever is looking at these.... I wan my 4-1 to wake up and study suepr hard for the 'O's... Heart pain when I see the mastery scripts.... May my wish come true!

It have been 2 weeks since my last post.
Busy busy busy.... but good thing to be busy, at least time is moving and you feel useful.

I will be posting my consultation hours every sunday at my blog.
I believe this is the time whereby all the students will be needing consultation especially sec 4 but till now I still dun sense much enthusiasm in my 4-1.

Level camp preparation is is is.... so much stuff to do, hopefully the sec 4s will appreciate all this.

How is everyone feeling?
I hope everyone had at least prepare for the school, exp my sec 4s
Chemistry for the sec 4s is going to be rollar coaster haha so please be prepared to give 110%.

There is not much rest for me after my trip, preparing so much stuffs..
Tired is an understatement.

So the least I hope is some appreciation from my students.
Btw, I watched G Force in DVD last night, it was a funny and entertaining movie haha...
Should I get a hamster and guinea pig? haha nah just joking
I don't even have enough time for all the things.

Gonna teach more Math than Chem next year.
Wonder if it is a good thing.

Last thing, the sec 3s will have a new name for their classes
They are call...
