Had consultation with 3-1 and 3-2 in the morning...
At the end I feel so so so hungry...
Gave the students other school papers to try out, hope it helps them.
Grab my lunch along the way and done my ironing before heading out to causeway point.
Done some shopping and went to Geylang for dim sum BUT we couldn't fiind the stall :(
In the end we went to airport to eat popeye chicken.
The whipped potato was no good but the chicken was nice.
Observe some weird ppl in the airport hahaha...
Head down to east coast for a walk and realise it had been a long time since we had chalet and bbq..
Maybe should book a chalet :)
Pump petrol at esso... wheee so much cheaper than shell when I have the esso platinum card.

Northlight Learning Journey
Today after exam, I went down with some teachers to Northlight Sec for Learning Journey.
Before are some photos taken.
These students require lot more love and care.
They did not have things like our students had. However, they still look forward coming to school because they know the teachers care and love. They appreciate and value the effort and time teachers put in.
Do our students feel the same?
Got a good news today, I hope I am able to handle the big task to come...
I know I put lot of time in school and my students but no matter what my weekend will be for you.
Working hard for our future.. real hard..

Last lesson before exam
Came in late today because of time-off
First lesson was with 3-1 and as my stomach was not feeling too well, I had porridge for lunch while watching 3-1 play handball. Din know they are having a competition after exam.
Lesson with 3-1 was not bad, got some of them to do the VA questions and I can feel they got the idea of how its done. If they practise enough, mole should be ok for them.
Scolded 3-8 today because some of them were late for their Phy lesson. I wonder how long I had to keep scolding them.
The confusion starts during common test and assembly. All the teachers are confused over which period come first. Based on the timetable, it should be common test first but Mrs Terrence announce that assembly come first. Too complicated haha but who cares, as long as the students are revising their work it should be fine.
Done most of the VA questions with 3-2 and some of them actually finish the whole worksheet. :)
Scolded 3-1 in the last lesson... haiz... what to do when they are playing in their 2 hours of free period.

Fruitful Group Consultation :)
Lessons as usual...
1-8 is noisy but tamable
3-2 is unresponsive
3-1 is noisy and non-attentive
So I conclude nothing special happen today, everything is same as any normal day except for my group consultation because finally Becca, Kaixin, Ahmad and Zhongping know how to solve VA questions. I am amazed and very happy. All the effort and time paid off right, but please remember all the steps and process skills, next time I test you again.
When my student finally understand, I am happy happy happy...

Just a monday
Today had lesson with 1-8 and 3-8,
Lesson with 3-8 was fine, I said some of my stories with them before some revision work.
Really hope they will wake up in time and study for exam.
1-8 was haiz.... the monkeys did not bring my file and I end up punishing half of the class.
They are cute at times but lazy at times...
Had remedial with 4E and we did some prelim papers.
I know its been tough studying so many subjects.
Endure my 3Es, and make sure you dun regret when you get the result slip.
Reminder to 3-1: Tml 3pm same place for the group consultation.

A long tiring friday....
Today is exam day and most of the students have MT papers except for the 3E HCL students.
I invigilate two classes and had 2 sessions of consultations.
Both the group said they are weak in Mole so I actually did two mole consultations.
Can really feel some of them are really really weak in mole, I was wondering if they had tried the worksheets and maybe the pace was too fast for them but this is really the normal speed, if I am going to slow down, it will not be possible to finish the syllabus. So I just had to squeeze in more time for consultation for the weaker students.
Most of the teachers went back after the last paper and since my meeting was cancel, I waited for Benita, Trisha and Qien to arrive. Meanwhile I did some preparations for next year topics for 3E chemistry.

Monday: I have 4E remedial
Tuesday: Focus Group Consultation, 3pm (The usual 3-1 15 students)
Wednesday: 3-2 Remedial lesson
I am pretty occupied for most of the time next week.
Unless you want to stay back after your paper for consultation which I dun advise you to do that because you should be at home studying the next paper.

Nice children day and dinner
I had lesson with 3-1, 3-2 and 1-8.
Had my worse lesson with 1-8, think they had some screws loose. I scolded them for 1 whole hour, I hope they will improve their behavior when they go sec 2 and 3. I dun wish they follow the footsteps of the sec 2s. Want them to be good and learn well.
Had lesson with 3-1 and show them some motivation videos. I had done what I can and the only thing left is to ignite the spark in them so that they can push themself even more to excel. Those who dun take my advice, I can just pray for them, hope next year in sec 3, they will wake up.
Lab session with 3-2, 45 of my students cramp into one lab and I din really like it because its way to crowded. No good for lab lesson. Most of them are able to get the orange colour. I have to emphasize that you must get 2 set of readings within 0.1 difference before you can stop.
Had consultation with 10 of my 3-1 students, taught them mole but I think only about 3 of them understood and know how to solve the questions. The rest seems confused.... Please go read up the chapter and the worksheets. Fundamentals is important!!! Pls pls pls because Mr Lew can only help you so much..
After school, I went down to Vivo for dinner at Serenity.
Spanish food, but I din really enjoy haha because I waited the food for 45 mins and it is not too filling.

My remedial was cancelled!!!!
Had lesson with 3-1 and 3-8.
Practical session with 3-1 and it was titration, the students is trying their best to get the "orange" colour although some of them failed but I can see they tried their best. I still have some students playing afool behind!! haiz... So many breakage also, please try to get consistent readings, its also important.
Can see some 3-8 students still does not take exam seriously... haiz, dunno what I can do to make them study. They behave well in class but not attentive during lesson.
Got Mrs Cheah to present Jasmin with the award and make Jasmin do a small speech :)

You have a talent for drawing, make sure you draw more.
Initially suppose to have 3-2 remedial but half of the class need to go for detention!!

Students hide from me and dun turn up for my lesson
Today had lesson with 1-8, 3-1 and 3-2...
Gave 1-8 EOY as mock exam and they all were screaming help because they find it too tough but its the same standard as the EOY 2009 paper. Omg, how to pass like this if they dun study!!
Lesson with 3-2 and went through one VA question, seems the class still dun understand how to solve the questions even thou I did it on the board lot of times, what should I do??? Told the class thurs will be a titration session and it will be the last before the exam.
Lesson with 3-1 was ok, finish up most of the Air worksheets and move on to give out the VA worksheets. I was thinking how many will actually do that piece of worksheets??? Haiz, no matter how much I stress they still dun seem to understand its very important!!!
Extra lesson with the same group but this time, lot of them did not turn up. Saw some of them hiding from me when I spotted them going out. Steven say they are going to the lib but is it true, only the boys will know. I cant stop them if they wan to play around even thou next week is exam. I cant stop them if they dun wan come for lesson. They want to give up why should I stop them? Sad :(
At least I still have some students who study hard and turn up for my lessons.
I lose 5 of them but I still have 35.... I still gain :)
I have tried my very best to pull those attitude students back but it seems nothing is working.

Night study day.....
Had lesson with 1-8 and 3-8
Only half of class 3-8 came to school and the reason is because of the F1 ytd.
I did watch the racing but only for awhile because I don't really know how to appreciate F1.
Think my flu is better, will be in school till 9pm today because of Night Study program.
Wonder will anyone come at night to study....
Next year, will my 3-1 and 3-2 come to school and study?
Guess they will come to school for handball instead.
There will be lab session this week for 3-1 and 3-2.
Your MT exam is on thurs and fri so better study hard.
Looking forward to Thurs for a good meal.... Spanish food :)

There is this lady who is standing beside us saying stupid things like we got 5 ppl how to squeeze into a table of 3 and bla bla bla... Der its Mac, if anyone bought their food there, they can sit whereever they want... If you have special needs then talk properly and not yell in the Mac. Shame!

Awards day done finally...
My legs are sore!!!
Tired but finally this is over.
Saw my sec 1 students doing the lantern and they really enjoy it.
There is mooncake making demonstration by the PTNs and can see the kids are really enjoying it.
If next year, I will be doing the awards day for 3-1, 3-2 and 3-8. Mmm, i think its going to be more interesting but I hope I wun need to perform.
For those who are meeting me for consultation tml, Mr Lew is too tired thus I wun be able to go down to sch to meet you. Sorry...:(
